What is Yoga Teacher Training?

Wellness Warrior offers a teacher training program designed to take you on an inner journey of self-discovery, strengthen your personal yoga practice and learn the skills to teach yoga and transform the lives of others.

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to continue your education, Wellness Warrior has trainings available to fit your needs.

What Can I expect in the Training?

Trainings are designed to allow you to complete them as your time, budget, and schedule allow. You will have a year to complete the course curriculum. Throughout the RYT 200 program, you will learn:

Can I do Teacher Training?

Yes! TJ believes that yoga practitioners of all levels and abilities can benefit from Wellness Warrior Yoga Teacher Training. This program is designed to help you explore proper body alignment and biomechanics while taking you on a journey of self-discovery, understanding and learning how to teach yoga. It only takes an open mind and an open heart.

Who leads Teacher Trainings?

TJ Hansen is a certified Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) with over 7 years and 2,000 hours of teaching experience. She also has a B.S. in Health and Exercise Sciences as well as multiple certifications in the health and wellness industry. You will gain a hands on training and the confidence to transform your personal practice, deepen your knowledge of yoga and of yourself while learning the Wellness Warrior Yoga Teacher Training system. You are in good hands!

What does RYT and ERYT mean?

Yoga Alliance has designated these terms to show different levels of teacher experience and registrations. RYT = Registered Yoga Teacher. E-RYT = Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher

What is the time commitment outside of the scheduled training?

Outside of scheduled sessions, you are required to take classes, journal and complete W3 – Wellness Warrior Work. For 200 Hour WWYTT, you have one year to complete all requirements.

Can I do this if I have a full time job?

Yes, we understand! Enrolling in a Teacher Training is a commitment and you are not alone. We’ll work with you and your schedule to set you up for success during your scheduled training.

What is the investment?

Are there scholarships available?

Absolutely! Partial scholarships for our 200 Hour Teacher Training are available. For more information or to apply for a scholarship, please contact us.

What is Yoga Alliance and why is it important?

Yoga Alliance (YA) is the certifying body for Yoga Schools. It enforces the quality and content hour standards for your 200-hour training. Upon completion of our 200-hour program, you will receive a 200-hour Yoga Certification recognized by Yoga Alliance. It is optional for you as an instructor to become registered with Yoga Alliance.

What can I do with my completed 200-Hour certificate?

Many companies prefer and even require that teachers are YA certified. This certificate sets you up for success no matter where or how you decide to teach. It will also improve your ability to help others move pain free, making properly aligned movement matter.

When does the next training begin?

Training is planned for January 2019. We are currently awaiting Yoga Alliance approval. Schedule will be determined once approval has been received.
